Compile Your Application from the Flash IDE

The mProjector.mxp extension enables you to use mProjector from the Flash IDE. With this extension installed you can compile and run your application. On Windows this extensions also include commands to customize your application's About Box.

To compile and run an mProjector application from Flash perform the following steps.

1) Tell mProjector where the mProjector compiler is located by clicking the "Find mProjector" in item in the Flash Commmands menu. You will need to repeat this step when you update to a new version of mProjector.

2) Select an mProjector Project File -- Click the "Select Project" in item in the Flash Commmands menu and specify the project to be compiled.

If you do not have a project file for your current application, click the "Launch mProjector" in item in the Flash Commmands menu, select your settings, click mProjector's "Save As" button, close mProjector, and perform Step 2.

3) Compile and Run -- Click the "Compile and Run" in item in the Flash Commmands menu to compile and launch your application from the Flash IDE. Close mProjector before selecting this command.

To customize your Windows application's About Box perform one of the following options:

1) To use the default mProjector About Box with ScreenTime and Adode credits click the "Reset About Box to Default" command in the Flash Commmands menu.

2) To display your own SWF plus small automagic ScreenTime and Adode credits in your application's About Box, create a SWF that is 350 pixels wide by any height and click the "Set About Box SWF" command in the Flash Commmands menu. The About Box for subsequent compiled applications will display this SWF.

3) To display your own SWF in your application's About Box click the "Set About Box WO Credits" command in the Flash Commmands menu. Your About Box SWF MUST INCLUDE the Adobe Flash Player copyright notice: "Contains the Adobe Flash player Copyright 1995-2007 Adobe, Inc." A small credit for us would be appreciated but is not required. The About Box for subsequent compiled applications will display this SWF.
