Distributing Screen Savers on the Web -- Uploading / Downloading Screen Savers
Question:
I would like to distribute a screen saver made with your product on the web. How do I prepare the screen saver for my website and make it available for downloading by visitors? Why does my Mac screen saver installer look like a folder of files?
Answer:
To distribute Screentime screen saver on the web, zip them, upload them to your website, and add a link to their location to your download page.
IMPORTANT: Mac screen saver installers must be zipped. Standard Mac applications will appear to be a folder of files on UNIX or Windows machines and get corrupted unless they are zipped.
Zipping is optional for Windows installers but always a good idea as your end-users may want to email the link to others and some email clients will reject URLs with an ".exe" extension.
