Custom Icons
Question:
Can I customize my screen saver's icon?
Answer:
You can customize the icon for your screen saver and its installer by following the steps below.

STEP 1) Create icon files for each icon you want to replace.

WINDOWS:

The .ico file must include the each of the following formats (all 6 formats).

Windows 95, 98, NT, ME Icons:
- 16 x 16 pixel, 256 colors
- 32 x 32 pixel, 256 colors
- 48 x 48 pixel, 256 colors

Windows 2000, XP, Vista Icons:
- 16 x 16 pixel, Windows XP format (16 million colors)
- 32 x 32 pixel, Windows XP format (16 million colors)
- 48 x 48 pixel, Windows XP format (16 million colors)

MACINTOSH:

The mac requires an .icns file and has no specific format requirements but the more formats the better your icon will look on hte end-users machine.

STEP 2) Customizing the Installer Icon

To customize the screen saver icon click the Installer button on the Screentime navigation bar. Next, find the "Installer Icon" settings group and click the associated Browse button. Navigate to your custom installer icon file, select it and click the Open button.

STEP 3) Customizing the Screen Saver Icon (Windows Only)

To customize the screen saver icon click the Properties button on the Screentime navigation bar. Next, find the "Saver Icon" settings group and click the associated Browse button. Navigate to your custom saver icon file, select it and click the Open button. You should now see your icon displayed in Screentime's interface as the Saver Icon replacing the standard Screentime screen saver icon.
